Keeping message on the document (sticky messages)

Problem: you want to add a message to the document in CRM and want to keep this message until you manually remove it (by other part of your program).

Solution: This is a customizing task. All messages can be set as sticky.

To do so you new to open a Cluster View called CRMV_MESSAGES. You can do this in TCODE SM34. Then you need to select the Message Class that the message is from. If your Message Class is missing simply add it to the list.

After selecting proper Message Class go one level lower. Select your message’s number (or enter if it does not exist) and double click the line. Screen with details should open. In the details of the record check option SAVE (’X’).

From this point all messages of this class and number will stay on the documents until manually removed.
